The OHC was started in 1972 as a grass roots movement of horse people who
felt that an organization that had no breed affiliation or private interests
to serve was needed to represent united horsemen of Ohio. We also seek
to improve horse show facilities at the local, county and state fair level.
We are also developing new equine competitive contests. We sponsor
trail rides and help maintain established trails, as well as create new
ones. We actively support community charities.
As a group, the OHC supports the equine lifestyles. We buy horses,
feed, trailers, trucks, tack, training and veterinarian services; thereby
supporting local horse related businesses.
